Linda Kay Parsons, age 60, of Janesville passed away peacefully on July 7, 2017 at Agrace Hospice in Janesville surrounded by her loving family. She was a mother’s day baby born on May 12, 1957 in Fort Atkinson, WI, the daughter of Willie and Sharon Pope. She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Pope and her brother, Jim Scott. Linda is survived by her mother, Sharon Daugherty, two daughters, Dana and Amy, her siblings, Judy (Mark) Chauncey, Tim and Lori Pope, Phil Pope, Tony Scott and many other family members. Linda loved her Lord with all of her heart. She was a prayer warrior for anyone in need and forgave easily. She loved to attended family gatherings and looked forward to “chick packs” with her sister and cousins. On July 7, 2017 she was serenaded by Angels to the Throne of God to receive her Crown. Another Angel has joined the Choir in Heaven.
The family would like to thank two special cousins who spent many hours by her side, Calene Deiler and Londa Farrell, to Agrace Hospice of Janesville, to St. Mary’s ICU staff and to her personal social workers and staff. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
A memorial celebration will be held on Monday, July 17, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Christ The Rock Church, 2232 Hermitage Lane, Janesville (608-741-1713). A graveside service will follow at Baldwin Cemetery, 4150 South Afton Road, Beloit. Henke-Clarson Funeral Home assisted with the arrangements.
